Established in 2024, the Batten & Black School of International Studies is a partnership of three global campuses – Lakeland University Japan (LUJ), Lakeland University Wisconsin (LUW) and Virginia Wesleyan University (VWU). LUJ students can choose to study abroad at VWU short-term (1-2 semesters), long-term (2-3 years), and even complete their full degree. VWU is situation on a 300-acre park-like campus in Virginia Beach, which is located midway up the East Coast of the United States. As one of Virginia's largest cities, Virginia Beach is home to Fortune 500 companies, rich culture and history, recreational offerings, and spectacular natural beauty.
LUJ students can choose to study abroad at LUW short-term (1-2 semesters), long-term (2-3 years), and even complete their full degree. Students who study at LU Wisconsin will live and grow in a rural setting near the Lakeland Michigan shoreline. The university is only an hour from big cities like Milwaukee and Green Bay, and just two hours from Chicago.
