Established in 2024, the Batten & Black School of International Studies is a partnership of three global campuses – Lakeland University Japan (LUJ), Lakeland University Wisconsin (LUW) and Virginia Wesleyan University (VWU). This one-of-a-kind platform offers LUJ students the opportunity to complete their four-year degree with short- and long-term study abroad options, common tuition, scholarships, and a truly multi-cultural college experience.

The customizability is what makes us different than other programs. So come and start your education with us in Tokyo, and our Batten & Black School of Int’l Studies will help take you to where you want to go. We strive to make transferring as easy and affordable as possible, and will do everything we can to make our already-low-tuition hard to beat. Through our common tuition and guaranteed scholarships, students will generally pay the same amount no matter where they choose to study!

Lakeland University (Wisconsin)

Students who study at LU Wisconsin will live and grow in a rural setting near the Lake Michigan shoreline. The university only an hour from Milwaukee and Green Bay, and just two hours from Chicago, allowing students to experience a mix of rural and urban life in America.
