The mission of the Learning Center is to address the academic support needs of the students, faculty, and staff of Lakeland University by providing information, skills training, and support in the areas of learning skills, critical thinking, information access, and assessment of students and their skills and competencies.
But in addition to these helpful services, our Learning Center matches students with tutors who provide FREE one-to-one assistance that may not be available in the classroom. Whether you're trying to pass a course or maintain a good GPA, working with a tutor can be extremely beneficial.
Office Hours
We pride ourselves on maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio, and each professor provides "Office Hours" each week so that allows students to come and ask questions or seek additional support outside of class.
Our academic advising is a collaborative process between students and faculty members based on the belief that each individual is capable of lifelong success.Faculty advisors guide the students as they discover and work toward their educational and life goals. Academic advisors not only answer questions about campus resources, majors and course selection, but also assist in the development of strategies to help each student accomplish both short and long-term objectives.
The Learning Center is here to help you improve your results as a student. Tutors are available for most subjects we teach. During the period of online classes the Learning Center will offer online tutoring.
