Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development Program

Leadership and Organizational Development, M.S.

Students who have successfully completed the M.S. in Leadership and Organizational Development degree from Lakeland University should be able to:

  • Communicate effectively including the appropriate use of technology.
  • Identify managerial interpersonal skills needed to motivate employees and carry out business objectives.
  • Demonstrate effective ethical, professional, and collaborative behaviors.
  • Apply the discipline of leadership to creatively engage the community in meeting its challenges.
  • Apply theory and principles of group dynamics in assuming multiple group roles and responsibilities.

Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development, (M.S.) Degree Requirements (30 semester hours)

Complete the following core courses (21 semester hours):

  • BA 730 - Organizational Effectiveness
  • BA 770 - Legal and Regulatory Environments of Business
  • BA 790 - Corporate Strategy and Decision Making
  • LO 700 - Leadership: Theories and Perspectives
  • LO 710 - Leadership Seminar: Systems Theory, Adaptive and Servant Leadership
  • LO 720 - Organizational Change and Development
  • LO 790 - Capstone Group Project – MS-LOD Program

Complete a minimum of 3 courses from the following (9 semester hours):

  • BA 730 - Organizational Effectiveness
  • BA 700 - Business Research Methodology (Degree-seeking students must successfully complete this course within the first nine (9) semester hours of coursework.)
  • BA 715 - Applied Microeconomic Theory
  • BA 720 - Applied Managerial Accounting
  • BA 750 - Applied Marketing Management
  • BA 760 - Production and Operations Management
  • BA 770 - Legal and Regulatory Environments of Business
  • BA 780 - Managerial Finance
