Virginia Wesleyan University Showcases Art Student Talent
Spearheaded by Virginia Wesleyan University Art Professor John Rudel, the Marlin Mural Festival was first open to the public on March 7.
Over 60 VWU students contributed to the professional exhibit, located in the Neil Britton Art Gallery.
For Professor Rudel, this opportunity gave students a chance to "create proposals" and "give presentations to advocate for their design ideas," eventually "gaining commissions." Once their project was approved, the student eventually led a group to help "work on their design."
The Neil Britton Art Gallery can be found in VWU's H.C. Hofheimer Library.
See below for photos from the festival. Other photos can be found here.
Some LUJ students who have completed their Associate of Arts Degree transfer to Virginia Wesleyan University, where they can major in Art, or a variety of other majors, eventually earning their bachelor's degree.
Currently, LUJ offers a 4-year degree in Communication and Business Administration. See here for a list of majors offered by our main campus, LUW, and VWU.
