LUJ is moving to a new campus
LUJ is excited to announce its plans to move all its university programs and operations to a new and larger campus located in Ryogoku in the Spring of 2022. After almost 20 years in Shinjuku, LUJ will be closing its Shinjuku campus operations on December 24, 2021, and will officially be opening its programs on January 4, 2022 in Sumida-ku, just a five-minute walk from the Ryogoku train station.
LUJ's new campus home in Ryogoku will be newer and larger, featuring expanded and improved classrooms, increased areas for social activities, a library and tutoring services, career and job placement support services, and an assembly hall. The Ryogoku campus designs, being focused on students' needs and desires, will also offer space for a variety of Student Run Businesses such a campus cafe, campus store, and a conference center. The decision to make this exciting move comes from LUJ's recent approval and expansion of program offerings to now include a full 4-year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. All of LUJ's programs will now be housed in a single location, offering increased opportunities for learning, on and off-campus engagement, and overall enhancing the college experience.
An official relocation page with additional details, campus photos and designs, and other updates will be launched on the LUJ website shortly. We look forward to welcoming our current and future students, alumni, families, and friends to our new home in January 2022.
