[LUJ Thanksgiving Food Drive] ~ Nov. 25

For a number of years (before COVID and then, again, last year) LUJ has held a Thanksgiving-season Food Drive, with the collected food going to Second Harvest Japan, the oldest food bank in Tokyo.
Last year we carried over a BIG load of food to them----but it is never enough.
There are more hungry and underprivileged people in Japan than most of us are aware----Second Harvest donates to organizations and to individuals and families. This is an organization worthy of our generosity.

Please donate rice, dry noodles (soba, udon, ramen, pasta), canned goods (soup, veggies, meat, fruit), condiments (miso, shoyu, dashi, nori), drinks (juice, coffee, tea), "retort pack" instant food.
**They can not accept packages that have been opened, fresh fruit/vegetables, or homemade food.
