"Hinamatsuri" is a Japanese term for a doll festival in which pray for happiness and prosperity for girls!
Also known as Girl's Day, this day is celebrated by displaying dolls that are wearing colorful clothes and displayed on a red carpet and a stepped platform called the "Hinadan".
Male dolls are called "OdairiSama" and Female dolls are called "OhinaSama".
As a form of bringing good luck through different types of food, it is also common to eat "Chirashizushi" as well as "Hina Arare"
