About the Club:

In collaboration with the Sumida-ku Board of Education, Lakeland University Japan has supported an official English Club for ten middle schools in the Sumida-ku area since June 2023. Students, 7-9th grades, from these areas schools come to the LUJ campus two Saturday's each month and engage with LUJ undergraduate students in various English-focused activities, games, and projects. LUJ students, who will act as the "Activity Leaders" of the English club, are excited to work with these middle school students and support their goals of improving their English skills. The program will run from June 2025 - March 2026, and has been launched as an official club (or "bukatsu") of the Sumida-ku middle schools.

Location: LUJ campus, 6F conference center (Muskie Hall)

The Sumida-ku Middle School English Club will meet at the LUJ campus. Participating students should use the main entrance (directly across from the APA hotel) and check-in at the 6th floor Information Desk.
