Lakeland University Japan Partners with Sumida Ward to Host English Camp for Middle School Students

On Monday, July 22, 2024, Lakeland University Japan (LUJ) has entered into a partnership with Sumida Ward. LUJ's Vice President, Anderson Passos, participated in the signing ceremony with Sumida Ward Mayor, Toru Yamamoto.

The purpose of this agreement is for Lakeland University Japan and Sumida City to mutually cooperate and collaborate in the fields of culture, education, international exchange, and community development, thereby contributing to the development of future human resources and the advancement of the local community.

Building on the success of LUJ's Middle School English Club, the scope of activities has expanded to include an English Camp. From July 29 to August 2, a total of 33 middle school students will gather at the LUJ campus to participate in activities designed to enhance their English skills.

Lakeland University Japan is proud of its strong connection with Sumida Ward and aims to have a positive impact on the community.
