This annual event, now in its milestone 10th edition, continues to bring together educators from Japan and around the globe to discuss pressing issues in education with a global perspective.

This Year’s Theme: The More Things Change
A decade ago, we lived in a world where no one had yet heard terms like breakout room, Chat GPT, and social distancing. Despite the enormous disruption of the past 10 years and the resulting changes to how we do our jobs, we educators all go to work every day with the same core objective as we did when we first chose this path: to best serve our students. How can we get “back to basics” in teaching and connecting with students in a way that is relevant in today’s changing and expanding educational world?

What to Expect

The conference will feature a dynamic assortment of presentations and discussions:

• Over 40 presentations by educators from Japan, the US, Indonesia, Germany, Mongolia, Lebanon, and more.
• A mix of short presentations throughout the day and a session of longer panels.
• Topics will cover the globalization of education, Japanese higher education, the use of technology in education, environmental education, pedagogy, teaching, CLIL/EMI, and much more.
