Military Benefits for Students

Military Benefits at Lakeland University Japan

Lakeland University Japan is proud to accept students who qualify for military benefits.

Military Benefits

We work closely with our home campus in Wisconsin to assist students in obtaining their benefits.

To find out more on how to receive your military benefits and begin your studies at LUJ, please contact one of our International Recruitment Coordinators, or call the LUJ Admissions Office at (81)3-3225-0425.

Benefit Programs

Lakeland University is a State Agency Approved to certify all types of military benefits (with the exception of the Wisconsin GI Bill because we are a private university).

If you are unsure of your eligibility for benefits, please contact your local VA (Veterans Affairs) Service Office, go to www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/, or call the GI Bill Call Center at 1-888-GIBILL-1. Once you are certain of your eligibility, you can access all necessary documents to apply for your military benefits by visiting www.gibill.ga.gov.

Veterans should notify the office of class enrollment for each semester, and any changes in enrollment (add/drops/withdrawals). Failure to do so could result in benefits not being processed or in an overpayment to veterans.

Benefit programs include:

  • Chapter 33 (Post 9/11 / Yellow Ribbon)
  • State Veterans (VET ED and DMA 189)
  • Montgomery GI Bill - Chapter 30
  • Tuition Assistance
  • Chapter 31
  • Chapter 35
