Anna Husson Isozaki holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College (cum laude), an MA degree in TESOL from Kanda University of International Studies, an MA in Advanced Japanese Studies from the University of Sheffield, England, and a certificate in Journalism, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has presented extensively and conducted workshops at conferences across Japan, in Taiwan, Germany and Korea about current research on multimodal methods in building fluent foreign language literacy (especially ESL Reading), Critical Media Literacy, and Economics of Gender. Apart from teaching, she has co-translated and edited a number of books, including Miyuki Miyabe’s Crossfire, and Beyond the Blossoming Fields by Junichi Watanabe, the story of Japan’s first woman doctor. Anna joined Lakeland’s EAP faculty in the fall of 2018.
