Dave was born in Leeds, UK, and holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Plymouth and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham. He taught in Hong Kong and South Korea before moving to Japan in 2010. He has taught English for academic purposes at a variety of colleges in universities and joined Lakeland University Japan in 2018.
